

With no classes at Hamilton Southeastern Schools the week starting October 13, the City of Fishers is closing the roundabout at 121st Street and Hoosier Road for one week to complete construction. That roundabout is next to Hoosier Road Elementary School.
There is a long list of updates, and here it is, as provided by the City of Fishers:
STATE ROAD 37 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
State Road 37 and 141st Street
*UPDATE*
The eastside of 141st St. at SR37 is currently closed for the next phase of construction. Traffic has transitioned to the westside, with SR37 north and southbound lanes remaining open. Please review detour routes to plan ahead during this time. Thank you for your continued patience and remember to drive cautiously and safely through construction areas.
**Please be advised that there is a restriction in place on the eastside of 141st St. (at Mundy Drive near SR37). During this phase, access to the east side of 141st St. will be restricted. This restriction will be in place while crews conduct storm sewer, subgrade treatment, curb construction and pavement work.**

I-465 & I-69
Drivers will see an increase in construction along the I-69 corridor in the coming months. This work will focus on reconfiguring the interchange at I-465 and I-69. New ramps will provide direct movements from eastbound I-465 and northbound I-465 to northbound I-69. Binford Blvd. will also be reconstructed to separate local traffic from traffic entering and exiting I-69 and I-465. Access to I-69 from Binford Blvd. will remain open.
Upcoming Short-Term Closures
Drivers can expect the following restrictions:
Monday, Oct. 13
Ramp from 96th Street to southbound I-69 closed (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.)
Rolling slowdowns on southbound I-69 between 96th Street and 82nd Street
Short-term closures on several ramps to southbound I-69 (Ramps from State Road 13, 136th Street, State Road 37, 116th Street and 106th Street)
Rolling slowdowns and short-term ramp closures are expected to begin around 11 p.m. and end by 6 a.m.
Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time.
Safe Zones enforcement remains active in the Clear Path construction zone. The program uses automated systems to monitor speeds in specified work zones. The goal of the program is to keep workers, drivers, and their passengers safe by reducing excessive speeding and crashes in work zones. Brightspeed will be installing fiber throughout the following areas: South Avalon Estates, Knoll at Thorpe Creek, Overlook at Thorpe Creek, Woods at Thorpe Creek, and Geist Overlook this week. Work will be conducted in the utility easement behind the sidewalk.
PROJECTS NORTH OF 116TH STREET
Hamilton County, Indiana – Please be advised, beginning on or after, Thursday, October 09, 2025, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00PM, drivers should expect the southwest ramp at 146th and Allisonville to be closed. Drivers will not be able to access Allisonville Road from eastbound 146th Street.
Additionally, there will be intermittent closures of the south end of the roundabout for concrete deliveries.
Please use extreme caution and follow the posted work zone speed limit while driving through this construction zone.

121ST STREET AND HOOSIER ROAD ROUNDABOUT
UPCOMING CLOSURE
As of August 6 this roundabout is open to drivers – this continues to be an active construction zone, please proceed with caution. Drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions as the contractor finishes up some punch-list items.
*Please be advised, this roundabout will be closed for paving operations beginning on Monday, October 13 for one week. Detour signage will be posted to advise drivers. All work is weather dependant.*
131ST STREET AND HOWE ROAD – NOW OPEN
As of August 9 this roundabout is open to drivers – this continues to be an active construction zone, please proceed with caution. Drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions as the contractor finishes up some punch-list items.
136TH STREET WIDENING – ROAD CLOSURE
As of Tuesday, April 1, 136th Street between Prairie Baptist Road and Cyntheanne Road has been closed to through traffic as construction continues on the reconstruction of the roadway. Access to the homes and Fire Station #97 will be maintained only to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will need to follow the signed detour route. Access into Hunters Run and Silverton is off of Prairie Baptist Road or Cyntheanne Road. See a map of this closure here.
SOUTHEASTERN PARKWAY LANE RESTRICTION- UPCOMING CLOSURE
Starting on or after Friday, September 19, there will be lane restrictions in place from 9am to 3pm on Southeastern Parkway between 113th Street and Cyntheanne Road. This is for shoulder work and there will be a temporary signal on site. Additionally, on Friday, October 10 there will be a full closure in place at this location that will remain in place until October 20. Access will be maintained to local traffic.
Brightspeed will be continuing ariel work on Southeastern Pkwy from Florida Road to Prairie Baptist Road, please be on the look out for lane restrictions.
96TH STREET LANE RESTRICTIONS- UPCOMING OVERNIGHT CLOSURES
Currently there are two lanes available to drivers Eastbound and Westbound on 96th Street at the Nickel Plate Trail, drivers should watch for intermittent lane restrictions.
*Please be advised that there will be a full overnight closure on all lanes of traffic on 96th Street at the Nickel Plate Trail on Friday October 10, signage will be in place to advise drivers.* This closure will be in place from 9pm to 6am. All work is weather dependant.
Anticipated Completion: November 2025
On the week of October 13 the contractor will be conducting trail work and concrete work along 106th Street from Hamilton Pass to Mollenkopf Road as well as trail work along the north side of 131st Street to complete the trail connection from New Britton Elementary School to the Nickel Plate Trail.
The contractor will begin work on the installation of a bridge along the along west side of Hoosier Rd. Drivers on Hoosier Road (from just north of Blue Meadow Drive to 121st Street) and 106th Street between Cumberland Road and Fall Road should expect lane restrictions from 9 AM to 3 PM due to ongoing trail construction. Please plan for potential delays and exercise caution in this area.
**Drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions as trail work is completed in all of these locations.

Ongoing and upcoming Road Resurface updates:
- Pedestrian signal work and lighting operations on Commercial drive.
- Base repairs followed by milling and paving operations continuing into the week of October 13 in Sandstone, restoration will be completed after paving operations.
- Concrete work in Heritage Meadows will continue into next week, see map here.
- Concrete operations will begin in the Grey Eagle neighborhood on the week of October 13 View map here.
- Concrete work beginning in Plantana towards the end of the week of the 13th
Homeowners will be notified via door hangers prior to any curb reconstruction near their home. After ADA ramp and curb reconstruction is completed, those areas will be restored with topsoil and seed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to water the seed for the seed to germinate. Following concrete operations contractors will begin performing asphalt road resurfacing and additional notices will be provided. Residents will also be notified via street signage for street parking restrictions.

The City of Fishers has partnered with the City of Carmel, Clay Township, Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation, Hamilton County, and Delaware Township to connect Heritage Park at White River and Carmel’s Hazel Landing Park with a bridge over White River. This new amenity will provide enhanced connectivity between the two communities, as well as new recreational opportunities for our residents. Click here for an aerial view.
