Those are just a few items included on the road construction report.  Here is the full listing, as provided by the City of Fishers:

146TH STREET & ALLISONVILLE ROAD – HAMILTON COUNTY PROJECT

Please be advised, with warmer temperatures approaching, the contractor plans to utilize periodic lane restrictions for remaining incidental construction items within the project limits. These restrictions are anticipated to occur between the hours of 9:00AM to 3:00PM thru the next several weeks. Please continue to use extreme caution while going thru this work zone.

For additional project information, visit the 146th Street & Allisonville Rd. Project Page.

136TH STREET WIDENING – ROAD CLOSURE

Due to the unexpected drop in temperatures earlier than anticipated this winter, the westbound lane of 136th Street between Cyntheanne Road and Prairie Baptist Road will remain closed until late spring of 2026.  Access to the single homes and the fire station will be maintained for eastbound traffic; however, the road will remain closed to through traffic.  Access to Abbott Commons and Silverton will be off of Prairie Baptist Road and access to Hunters Run will be off of Cyntheanne Road or Southeastern Parkway.  As weather and temperatures improve, the contractor will be working on what they can accomplish both safely and per specifications.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. See a map of this closure here.

136TH STREET WIDENING – SOUTHEASTERN PARKWAY TO PRAIRIE BAPTIST ROAD

Construction has begun on the widening and reconstruction of 136th Street from Southeastern Parkway to Prairie Baptist Road and is currently in the utility relocation phase. Drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions during this phase of construction. This project will reconstruct 136th Street from Southeastern Parkway to Prairie Baptist Road from a two-lane rural section to a boulevard section with a raised median and new multi-use paths on both sides of the roadway. New pavement, curb and gutter, and an enclosed storm-sewer system will be installed.

ROAD CLOSURE ON FISHERS LANDING DRIVE

Access to Fishers Landing Drive from Allisonville Road (by Jiffy Lube) will be closed for the second phase of construction.

116TH STREET AND ALLISONVILLE ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS

As of Monday March 2, Drivers can expect periodic lane restrictions in the area of 116th Street and Allisonville Road as the contractor will be working on utility relocation work. This work is a part of the intersection improvements project at this location.

116TH STREET GAS UTILITY WORK

The Southernmost Eastbound Lane of 116th Street from Eller Road to Wilderness Trail will be restricted for two weeks for utility work, leaving Eastbound drivers with one lane. Please proceed throughout the area with caution.

TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS

As weather permits, the contractor will be working on final punchlist items along 131st Street and 106th Street. Drivers on 131st Street (from Lantern Road to the Nickel Plate Trail) and 106th Street at Mollenkopf Road should expect lane restrictions from 9 AM to 3 PM. Please plan for potential delays and exercise caution in this area.

All work is weather dependent*

BRIGHTSPEED FIBER INSTALLATION

Brightspeed will be installing fiber throughout Avalon of Fishers this week. Work will be conducted in utility easements behind the sidewalk.

NEIGHBORHOOD RESURFACING

Due to the unexpected drop in temperatures earlier than anticipated this winter, paving operations have been paused in Plantana.

Homeowners will be notified via door hangers prior to any curb reconstruction near their home. After ADA ramp and curb reconstruction is completed, those areas will be restored with topsoil and seed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to water the seed for the seed to germinate. Following concrete operations, contractors will begin performing asphalt road resurfacing and additional notices will be provided. Residents will also be notified via street signage for street parking restrictions.

STATE ROAD 37 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

State Road 37 and 141st Street

TRAFFIC SHIFT UPDATE

The contractor has removed the barrier wall along the mainline of SR37. Northbound (NB) and Southbound traffic (SB) has been shifted onto the mainline lanes, but the NB ramp will remain closed for now.

Drivers should expect lane closures along State Road 37 early next week as crews complete scheduled work:

  • Weather permitting, the southbound outside lane on SR 37 will be restricted in the morning, with work shifting to the inside lane later in the day.
  • An outside lane restriction on northbound SR 37 will also be in place near the 141st Street/Mundy Drive right‑in/right‑out ramp.
  • All work is planned to wrap up and reopen to traffic by the end of the day, weather permitting.

Both closures will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to reduce impacts during peak travel times.

Additionally, drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions impacting both NB and SB lanes of traffic in the area of this project throughout the week as the contractor completes overhead work.

The eastside of 141st St. at SR37 is currently closed for the next phase of construction.

I-465 & I-69
More than 80% of Clear Path 465 construction is complete on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Drivers will see continued improvements in 2026 as new lanes and ramps open, and work continues on the reconfigured I-69/I-465 interchange. The majority of construction will be complete in summer 2026, with intermittent lane and ramp restrictions expected later in the year as crews finish remaining work on mainline I-465, I-69, and the I-69/I-465 interchange.

The Safe Zones speed control program remains active in the Clear Path construction zone. This program uses automated systems to monitor speeds in specified work zones. The goal of the program is to keep workers, drivers, and their passengers safe by reducing excessive speeding in work zones. It’s important to slow down in construction zones and drive without distractions. Learn more about Safe Zones at SafeZonesIN.com
