Fishers PD Makes Marijuana Arrest

Fishers Police Officers say they witnessed a suspicious semi in the area of the city’s Wal-Mart on 96th Street early Tuesday morning.  After questioning two men near the vehicle, police checked the semi trailer and say they found about 500 pounds of marijuana.  Under arrest is Isaac Roberto Aristiga Bororquez, 25, of Mexico, on a felony charge of  Intent to Deliver Marijuana over 5 pounds.

During the early morning hours Fishers police officers discovered a large amount of marijuana packaged in a semi-trailer parked on a parking lot in the 8300 block of East 96th Street.

 

Shortly before 4:00am a Fishers police officer was patrolling in the area of 96th Street. The officer observed suspicious activity around a semi-tractor trailer. The officer met with two men who told the officer they were waiting to make a delivery in the area. During the conversation the officer became concerned that the men were not being truthful. A Fishers’ K-9 Unit responded. During the initial search of the trailer officers located approximately 500 pounds of marijuana.

 

The two men were detained and transported to the Fishers Police Department. After speaking with both men, Investigators determined only the driver had knowledge of the marijuana.  The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

 

Officers obtained a search warrant for the semi tractor-trailer and the investigation is on-going.
