A perfect, sunny summer day welcomed the first visitors of the Fishers Freedom Festival at Holland Park Saturday morning.  The opening ceremonies featured a raising of the flag and the introduction of the royal court.

The festival runs June 25 & 26, with the parade starting at 4pm on the 26th.  More information is available at this link.

  1. Just had a ribeye sandwich from Archers with a drink from the Boy Scouts. Great food on a nice day. We are working towards the tough decision of elephant ear versus a funnel cake. It is a rough decision every year that can end in sharing both! Great weather to get out and see others from around Fishers!

In looking around, I echo my feedback of asking the festival to not cram this into the Nickle Plate district next year. There is less room, and it will lose the open feel of the park.
