There are at least two news reports that Kroger has decided to remodel its current location at 116th Street and Allisonville Road. Last year, Kroger said it would construct a new grocery across Allisonville Road. Now, the company has apparently decided not to construct the new building. When I have more information, I will pass it along.
I doubt they are real happy with City of Fishers telling them what they can’t do with old Marsh locations. However, their business model may have changed inpast year with changes in that industry and stock price challenges. I think they may be doing the same at 146 and Hazel Dell.
Current posted on twitter its being remodeled. Remodeling the store won’t solve their staffing problems or lack of parking. I hope someone out there runs against our current Mayor next year as he ruined our chances down here of getting a bigger store that was planned for that corner and very necessary for the residents that shop there. While he was so busy trying to control what goes in empty store fronts he wasn’t paying attention to all the tiny used car lots popping up all over the place.
