

Drivers in Fishers should expect ongoing lane restrictions, construction activity and periodic delays across several major corridors, according to the city’s latest weekly road update. It is also spring break week for Hamilton Southeastern Schools, so you may find traffic somewhat lighter at times.

MAJOR ROAD CLOSURES AND LANE RESTRICTIONS THIS WEEK
- 136th Street: Westbound lane closed (Cyntheanne → Prairie Baptist) – work resuming.
- 116th Street Utilities:Eastbound lane restricted (Eller → Wilderness) – Ongoing
- 116th Street and Allisonville Road Intersection Improvements: Ongoing lane restrictions for utility relocation
- Citywide Traffic Signal work: Ongoing maintenance at signal cabinets
- Hague Road Lane restrictions: Lane restrictions (106th → Nickel Plate Trail)
- Trail Work on 131st Street (Nottingham Area): Lane restrictions for trail work
- Tree Trimming: Citywide, expect delay.
146TH STREET & ALLISONVILLE ROAD – HAMILTON COUNTY PROJECT
Due to the unexpected drop in temperatures earlier than anticipated this winter, the westbound lane of 136th Street between Cyntheanne Road and Prairie Baptist Road will remain closed until late spring of 2026. *CONSTRUCTION UPDATE* Construction has restarted in this area. Expect more construction traffic in the area.
Access to the single homes and the fire station will be maintained for eastbound traffic; however, the road will remain closed to through traffic. Access to Abbott Commons and Silverton will be off of Prairie Baptist Road and access to Hunters Run will be off of Cyntheanne Road or Southeastern Parkway. As weather and temperatures improve, the contractor will be working on what they can accomplish both safely and per specifications. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. 136TH STREET WIDENING – SOUTHEASTERN PARKWAY TO PRAIRIE BAPTIST ROAD
Construction has begun on the widening and reconstruction of 136th Street from Southeastern Parkway to Prairie Baptist Road and is currently in the utility relocation phase. Drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions during this phase of construction. This project will reconstruct 136th Street from Southeastern Parkway to Prairie Baptist Road from a two-lane rural section to a boulevard section with a raised median and new multi-use paths on both sides of the roadway. New pavement, curb and gutter, and an enclosed storm-sewer system will be installed.

121ST AND HOOSIER ROUNDABOUT
April 6-10, drivers can expect lane restrictions in the area of 121st and Hoosier Road Roundabout as the contractor conducts pavement marking operations and finishes up final punchlist items. All work is weather dependant.
116TH STREET AND ALLISONVILLE ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
As of Monday March 2, Drivers can expect periodic lane restrictions in the area of 116th Street and Allisonville Road as the contractor will be working on utility relocation work. This work is a part of the intersection improvements project at this location.
Construction on this project is expected to begin on or after March 30 and continue through October 2026. The project involves extending left turn lanes & sidewalk, and signal work.

CITY WIDE TREE TRIMMING
A Duke Energy contractor will begin tree trimming work across various areas of the city starting next week. Crews will be working along Brooks School Road, Allisonville Road, 96th Street, 106th Street, 126th Street, and Willowview Road. Residents should expect intermittent lane restrictions while work is underway. Please use caution when traveling through these areas and allow extra time for your commute.
The Southernmost Eastbound Lane of 116th Street from Eller Road to Wilderness Trail will be restricted for two weeks for utility work, leaving Eastbound drivers with one lane. Please proceed throught the area with caution. |

NEIGHBORHOOD RESURFACING

Milling operations are anticipated to begin in the Plantana neighborhood on April 7, weather dependant. Paving operation will follow milling operations. Homeowners will be notified via door hangers prior to any curb reconstruction near their home. After ADA ramp and curb reconstruction is completed, those areas will be restored with topsoil and seed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to water the seed for the seed to germinate. Following concrete operations, contractors will begin performing asphalt road resurfacing and additional notices will be provided. STATE ROAD 37 IMPROVEMENT PROJECTState Road 37 and 141st StreetThe contractor has removed the barrier wall along the mainline of SR37. Northbound (NB) and Southbound traffic (SB) has been shifted onto the mainline lanes, but the NB ramp will remain closed for now.
**141st Street is now open to right in right out traffic on the eastside of State Road 37. Drivers still do not have access to go across the 141st Street bridge over State Road 37.**
The eastside of 141st St. at SR37 is currently closed for the next phase of construction. Traffic has transitioned to the westside, with SR37 north and southbound lanes remaining open.

A ramp closure is scheduled during the day Sunday for bridge work on Clear Path 465 in northeast Indianapolis. The ramp closure moved up a day to Sunday to accommodate upcoming weather. This is the final deck pour for the remaining eastbound I-465 bridge in the I-69/I-465 interchange. The other seven bridges inside the interchange are complete. Upcoming Short-Term Closures
