Access to the single homes and the fire station will be maintained for eastbound traffic; however, the road will remain closed to through traffic. Access to Abbott Commons and Silverton will be off of Prairie Baptist Road and access to Hunters Run will be off of Cyntheanne Road or Southeastern Parkway.  See a map of this closure here.

Construction has begun on the widening and reconstruction of 136th Street from Southeastern Parkway to Prairie Baptist Road and is currently in the utility relocation phase. Drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions during this phase of construction. This project will reconstruct 136th Street from Southeastern Parkway to Prairie Baptist Road from a two-lane rural section to a boulevard section with a raised median and new multi-use paths on both sides of the roadway. 121ST AND HOOSIER ROUNDABOUT

Lane restrictions are expected in the area of 121st and Hoosier Road Roundabout as the contractor works on restoration and final punchlist items. All work is weather dependent.

116TH STREET AND ALLISONVILLE ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS

What’ s Happening

The City of Fishers is improving the intersection of 116th Street and Allisonville Road to enhance traffic flow and safety. While the project was originally planned as a roundabout, additional analysis showed the improvements could be achieved through less invasive roadway changes. Construction is expected to begin on or after March 30 and continue through October 2026.

What to Expect

  • The City of Fishers will be improving left-turn lanes in all, replacing sidewalks & ADA ramps, & upgrading traffic signals to improve traffic flow & safety.
  • Business access will remain open
  • Intersections will remain open, but drivers will experience lane shifts, restrictions, & slower travel times, especially during peak hours.
  • Roadway projects are weather-dependent and schedules may change

Project Update (4/08/2026)

Construction is expected to begin the week of April 13 and continue through late October, weather and material availability permitting. Initial work will include construction signage and signal-related activity, followed by intersection improvements, curb and ramp work, sidewalk work, and paving later in the season.

Please plan for potential delays and exercise caution in this area.

All work is weather dependent*

UTILITY WORK
CITY WIDE TREE TRIMMING

A Duke Energy contractor will continue tree trimming work across various areas of the city next week. Crews will be working along Allisonville Road, 96th Street, 106th Street, and Willowview Road.

Residents should expect intermittent lane restrictions while work is underway. Please use caution when traveling through these areas and allow extra time for your commute.

116TH STREET GAS UTILITY WORK

The southernmost Eastbound Lane of 116th Street from Eller Road to Wilderness Trail will be restricted for two weeks for utility work, leaving eastbound drivers with one lane. Please proceed through the area with caution.

BRIGHTSPEED FIBER INSTALLATION

Brightspeed will be installing fiber throughout Avalon of Fishers this week. Work will be conducted in utility easements behind the sidewalk.

NEIGHBORHOOD RESURFACING

Concrete curb and ramp work is anticipated to continue in the Sunblest neighborhood during week of April 27, weather dependent. Milling operations will follow.

Homeowners will be notified via door hangers prior to any curb reconstruction near their home. After ADA ramp and curb reconstruction is completed, those areas will be restored with topsoil and seed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to water the seed for the seed to germinate. Following concrete operations, contractors will begin performing asphalt road resurfacing and additional notices will be provided. Residents will also be notified via street signage for street parking restrictions.

I-465 & I-69

More than 80% of Clear Path 465 construction is complete on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Drivers will see continued improvements in 2026 as new lanes and ramps open, and work continues on the reconfigured I-69/I-465 interchange. The majority of construction will be complete in summer 2026, with intermittent lane and ramp restrictions expected later in the year as crews finish remaining work on mainline I-465, I-69, and the I-69/I-465 interchange.

The Safe Zones speed control program remains active in the Clear Path construction zone. This program uses automated systems to monitor speeds in specified work zones. The goal of the program is to keep workers, drivers, and their passengers safe by reducing excessive speeding in work zones. It’s important to slow down in construction zones and drive without distractions. Learn more about Safe Zones at SafeZonesIN.com

For schedule updates, follow the project on Facebook, X and Instagram, and subscribe to email and text message alerts at ClearPath465.com.

A ramp closure is scheduled during the day Sunday for bridge work on Clear Path 465 in northeast Indianapolis. The ramp closure moved up a day to Sunday to accommodate upcoming weather.

This is the final deck pour for the remaining eastbound I-465 bridge in the I-69/I-465 interchange. The other seven bridges inside the interchange are complete.
