116TH STREET AND ALLISONVILLE ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS

What’ s Happening

The City of Fishers is improving the intersection of 116th Street and Allisonville Road to enhance traffic flow and safety. While the project was originally planned as a roundabout, additional analysis showed the improvements could be achieved through less invasive roadway changes. Construction is expected to begin on or after March 30 and continue through October 2026.

What to Expect

  • The City of Fishers will be improving left-turn lanes in all, replacing sidewalks & ADA ramps, & upgrading traffic signals to improve traffic flow & safety.
  • Business access will remain open
  • Intersections will remain open, but drivers will experience lane shifts, restrictions, & slower travel times, especially during peak hours.
  • Roadway projects are weather-dependent and schedules may change

Project Update (4/08/2026)

Construction is expected to begin the week of April 13 and continue through late October, weather and material availability permitting. Initial work will include construction signage and signal-related activity, followed by intersection improvements, curb and ramp work, sidewalk work, and paving later in the season.

I-465 & I-69
More than 80% of Clear Path 465 construction is complete on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Drivers will see continued improvements in 2026 as new lanes and ramps open, and work continues on the reconfigured I-69/I-465 interchange. The majority of construction will be complete in summer 2026, with intermittent lane and ramp restrictions expected later in the year as crews finish remaining work on mainline I-465, I-69, and the I-69/I-465 interchange.
The Safe Zones speed control program remains active in the Clear Path construction zone. This program uses automated systems to monitor speeds in specified work zones. The goal of the program is to keep workers, drivers, and their passengers safe by reducing excessive speeding in work zones. It’s important to slow down in construction zones and drive without distractions. Learn more about Safe Zones at SafeZonesIN.com
For schedule updates, follow the project on Facebook, X and Instagram, and subscribe to email and text message alerts at ClearPath465.com.
A ramp closure is scheduled during the day Sunday for bridge work on Clear Path 465 in northeast Indianapolis. The ramp closure moved up a day to Sunday to accommodate upcoming weather.
This is the final deck pour for the remaining eastbound I-465 bridge in the I-69/I-465 interchange. The other seven bridges inside the interchange are complete.
