
There is plenty of important information in the latest weekly Fishers area road construction report.
Cyntheanne Road & 96th Street will see a full closure…..a traffic configuration shift is coming on 136th Street….lane closures will begin at the 116th Street and Allisonville Road construction site….motorists will begin to see construction starting at Olio Road and Southeastern Parkway….and Lantern Road will be closed at Morgan Drive. Those are just a few of the major developments.

🚧 136th Street Widening – PHASE 2 TRAFFIC SHIFT STARTS JUNE 2 The 136th Street Widening Project will shift from Phase 1 into Phase 2 beginning on or after June 2 between Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road. Traffic Changes

Olio Road & Southeastern Road Improvements Drivers will begin to see more construction activity beginning June 1st. Lantern Road Closure From June 8-19 Lantern road will be closed at Morgan Drive, detour signs will be posted for drivers. Please seek an alternate route. |

Upcoming Road Improvements at 116th Street & Allisonville Road What’s Happening The City of Fishers is improving the intersection of 116th Street and Allisonville Road to enhance traffic flow and safety. While the project was originally planned as a roundabout, additional analysis showed the improvements could be achieved through less invasive roadway changes. Construction is expected to begin on or after March 30 and continue through October 2026. What to Expect

136th Street Widening – ROAD CLOSURE
136th St Widening – Prairie Baptist Rd to Cyntheanne Rd/Phase 1(this phase opening 6/2 & shifting to next phase) Construction Update: Local drivers should expect a traffic pattern change while paving operations continue. 136th Street Widening Project Update The 136th Street Widening Project is scheduled to transition into Phase 2 beginning Tuesday, June 2 (weather permitting). This next phase will focus on improvements between Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road. As construction progresses, 136th Street will be closed to through traffic within the project limits. Drivers should follow the signed detour route using Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road to reconnect with 136th Street. This major improvement project will transform 136th Street from a rural two-lane roadway into a modern boulevard featuring: • Raised medians • New multi-use paths on both sides of the road • New pavement, curb & gutter • Storm sewer infrastructure upgrades Motorists should expect changing traffic patterns and additional travel time in the area. Please drive cautiously and stay alert near work zones.

Drivers should expect increased construction traffic in the work zone. When driving through the construction zone, drivers are encouraged to be vigilant and watch for flaggers. STATE ROAD 37 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 🛣️State Road 37 and 141st Street🎆 The State Road 37 Improvement Project at 141st Street is now substantially complete, and the City celebrated the official ribbon cutting for the new interchange on May 26. Motorists should expect periodic lane restrictions and intermittent work activity throughout the corridor as contractors complete final punch-list items and remaining project details, including landscaping and minor finishing work. Drivers are encouraged to continue using caution in the area while crews complete these final activities. |
