What’s Happening The City of Fishers is improving the intersection of 116th Street and Allisonville Road to enhance traffic flow and safety. While the project was originally planned as a roundabout, additional analysis showed the improvements could be achieved through less invasive roadway changes. Construction is expected to continue through October 2026, weather and material availability permitting. What to Expect
Initial work includes construction signage and signal-related activity, followed by intersection improvements, curb and ramp work, sidewalk work, and paving later in the season.

Neighborhood Resurfacing Road resurfacing work continues throughout Fishers, with crews currently completing concrete operations in the Rosewood neighborhood. Milling and paving operations are scheduled to begin in the Sunblest and Sumerlin Trails neighborhoods and will continue through the week of June 15, weather permitting. Additional resurfacing work is expected to begin soon along Promise Road, 131st Street, and Howe Road. Work will include base repairs, roadway milling, asphalt paving, grooving, and pavement marking installation. What Drivers Should Expect
Residents and motorists are encouraged to use caution, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time when driving through construction zones. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Southeastern Parkway & Olio Road Roundabout Improvements The City of Fishers will begin reconstructing the roundabout at Southeastern Parkway and Olio Road in mid-June to improve safety and traffic flow at one of the region’s busiest intersections, which has a history of frequent non-fatal crashes. The project will be completed in November 2026 during 3 phases. The project will add more room for vehicles, reduce backups on nearby roads, and make the roundabout easier to navigate. When completed this fall, the roundabout will help drivers choose the correct lane sooner, move through the intersection more safely, and reduce rear-end and side-swipe crashes. Phase 1 – Mid-June – Late July The roundabout will remain open with lane restrictions. Crews will improve nearby 136th Street and permanently make it a two-way road, providing a detour option during Phase 2. They will also build a new connection road between 136th Street to the west for easier westbound traffic flow. Alternate routes are encouraged but not required during Phase 1.
More information and traffic maps will be announced before construction starts.
