
It’s another summer season road construction week in Fishers. Be aware of some closures on 131st Street. That’s just part of a long list of construction in and around our city.
Here is the full road construction listing, for the week beginning Sunday, July 5, as provided by the City of Fishers:
- 96th Street and Cyntheanne Road – Full Closure
- 136th Street Widening – Southeastern Parkway to Prairie Baptist Road – follow detour route
- 116th and Allisonville Intersection Improvements Project – Down to one lane in all directions
- Southeastern Parkway & Olio Road Roundabout Improvements – Periodic lane restrictions
- 126th Street – single-lane restrictions (Beginning July 13)

131st Street Road Closure A road closure will be in place on 131st Street from July 13–17 for the installation of raised crosswalks.
96th Street & Cyntheanne Road – CLOSURE IN PLACE Construction of the new roundabout at 96th Street and Cyntheanne Road has begun and a full closure is in place at this intersection.

136th Street Widening – Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road The 136th Street Widening Project has transitioned into Phase 2 This next phase will focus on improvements between Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road. View detour map here.
Road Improvements at 116th Street & Allisonville Road Project Update
Initial work includes construction signage and signal-related activity, followed by intersection improvements, curb and ramp work, sidewalk work, and paving later in the season. |

| Allisonville Road Lane Restrictions
Drivers should expect temporary lane restrictions on southbound Allisonville Road for utility work. Hamilton Hills Lane One lane of southbound Allisonville Road will be closed at Hamilton Hills Lane on Monday and Tuesday (on the week of July 6) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for water main installation. 111th Street A separate southbound lane closure will be in place on Allisonville Road at 111th Street beginning Monday, July 13 at 6 p.m. through Tuesday, July 14 at 6 a.m. for a water valve replacement. Traffic will remain open during this work, but drivers should expect short-term delays and use caution when traveling through the area. Cumberland Road Utility Work – Duke Project Lane restrictions continue between 106th Street and 116th Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brightspeed Fiber Installation Brightspeed will be installing fiber throughout Avalon of Fishers this week. Work will be conducted in utility easements behind the sidewalk. |

| PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION – 126TH STREET | |
| Beginning Monday, July 13, crews will perform concrete joint sawing and sealing on 126th Street between Parkside Drive and Promise Road.
Single-lane restrictions will be in place on both eastbound and westbound 126th Street from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic may be stopped for short periods while equipment enters and exits the lane closures and as crews work through intersections. Work is expected to take up to 12 days and will occur Monday through Saturday, weather permitting. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and allow extra travel time through the area. |

Neighborhood Resurfacing Road resurfacing work continues throughout Fishers, with crews currently completing concrete operations in Weaver Woods, Weaver Woods North and Weaver Creek.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to use caution, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time when driving through construction zones. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Southeastern Parkway & Olio Road Roundabout Improvements The City of Fishers will begin reconstructing the roundabout at Southeastern Parkway and Olio Road in July to improve safety and traffic flow at one of the region’s busiest intersections, which has a history of frequent non-fatal crashes. The project will be completed in December 2026 during 3 phases. Phase 1 – July – September More information and traffic maps will be announced before construction starts. |

| Hamilton County Highway Department
Hamilton County Resurfacing Project Hamilton County is expected to continue milling and resurfacing operations next week along Olio Road, progressing north toward the Geist Bridge. In addition to roadway resurfacing, crews will complete ADA-related concrete improvements throughout the corridor.
Work is anticipated to be completed within approximately two weeks, weather permitting. Construction schedules are subject to change, and additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available. | STATE ROAD 37 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
STATE ROAD 37 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 🛣️State Road 37 and 141st Street🎆 The State Road 37 Improvement Project at 141st Street is now substantially complete, and the City celebrated the official ribbon cutting for the new interchange on May 26. Motorists should expect periodic lane restrictions and intermittent work activity throughout the corridor as contractors complete final punch-list items and remaining project details, including landscaping and minor finishing work. Drivers are encouraged to continue using caution in the area while crews complete these final activities. |
