
Fishers motorists should prepare for several construction-related closures, detours and lane restrictions during the coming week.
The most significant local impact remains on 136th Street, which is closed to through traffic between Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road as the widening project enters Phase 2. Drivers should follow the posted detour using Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road.
Traffic also remains restricted at 116th Street and Allisonville Road. The west leg of Fishers Crossing Boulevard is closed at Allisonville Road, and sidewalks within the project area are unavailable. Businesses remain open and can be reached through alternate entrances.
Lane restrictions will continue on USA Parkway north of 106th Street through October. Drivers may also encounter restrictions near the Southeastern Parkway and Olio Road roundabout and at 131st Street and Brooks School Road, where utility relocation is underway.
Cumberland Road restrictions include utility work between 106th and 116th streets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., along with bridge preservation work south of 116th Street. Meanwhile, the intersection of 96th Street and Cyntheanne Road has reopened in all directions, although crews may return for final work.
Regional travelers should expect major weekend delays on I-465 and I-69. Westbound I-465 is scheduled to be reduced to one lane between I-69 and the White River from Friday night through Sunday evening, with several connecting ramps also closing temporarily.
All schedules are weather-dependent. Drivers should follow posted signs, watch for workers and allow extra travel time.

| Cumberland Road Utility Work – Duke Project
Lane restrictions continue between 106th Street and 116th Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ATT Utility Work ATT will be installing fiber throughout the following neighborhods: Beaver Ridge, Pine Bluff Overlook, Bradford Ridge, Walnut Creek, Delaware Pointe, Summerfield, Delaware Crossing. Work will be begin in the next week and will be conducted in utility easements behind the sidewalk. 96th Street and Cyntheanne Road is now OPEN!
The intersection is fully operational and open to traffic in all directions. Drivers may still see crews in the area completing occasional final punch-list items, so please continue to use caution when traveling through the intersection. Thank you for your patience throughout construction!
A new roundabout will be constructed at the intersection of 131st Street and Brooks School Road. Drivers can expect periodic lane restrictions in the current utility relocation phase.
Motorists should expect lane restrictions on USA Parkway north of 106th Street as construction begins on the USA Parkway Widening Project. Lane restrictions are expected to remain in place through October, weather permitting. Work will include roadway widening, new curb improvements, trail construction, and pavement resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained throughout construction, and access to businesses and driveways will remain open. Motorists should expect periodic traffic shifts, reduced speeds, and occasional delays while crews work. The project is anticipated to reach substantial completion in mid-October, with final restoration and punch list work continuing into November. Please slow down, watch for construction crews, and allow extra travel time when traveling through the area. As always, schedules are weather dependent and subject to change.
The contractor will be completing concrete operations in Fawnsbrook neighborhood ahead of milling and paving as well as begnning work on Westmoreland Dr. in the Somerset neighborhood. More details will be provided in the future regarding upcoming operations in the Weaver Neighborhoods. Upcoming work includes milling and base repair on 96th Street from Carroll Road to Olio Road. All work is weather dependant. Homeowners will be notified via door hangers prior to any curb reconstruction near their home. After ADA ramp and curb reconstruction is completed, those areas will be restored with topsoil and seed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to water the seed for the seed to germinate. Following concrete operations contractors will begin performing asphalt road resurfacing and additional notices will be provided. Southeastern Parkway & Olio Road Roundabout Improvements Construction is underway on the Southeastern Parkway and Olio Road roundabout to improve safety and traffic flow at one of the region’s busiest intersections. Currently, the roundabout remains open with no lane restrictions through early August. Olio Road is reduced to one lane southbound. Beginning in early August, drivers should expect lane restrictions, including Olio Road reduced to one lane in each direction and closure of the “5th leg” of the roundabout. The State Road 37 Improvement Project at 141st Street is now substantially complete, and the City celebrated the official ribbon cutting for the new interchange on May 26.

LANE RESTRICTIONS – CUMBERLAND ROAD – BRIDGE 164 OVER MUD CREEK Please be advised, as of Thursday, August 6, 2026, there have been daily lane restrictions on Cumberland Road, south of 116th Street, for bridge preservation work. The expected completion date for this project is Friday, August 21, 2026. Please use extreme caution while driving through the construction zone. | CLEARPATH IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Upcoming Short-Term Closures Drivers can expect the following closures: Lane and ramp closures are scheduled this weekend on I-465 and I-69 in northeast Indianapolis in preparation of opening new ramps and travel lanes. Westbound I-465 is scheduled to be reduced to one lane between I-69 and the White River from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, through 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16. Crews will install pavement markings and signage. Work will begin closest to the median Friday night and shift to the outer lanes Saturday evening. The following ramps are scheduled to close from 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 and reopen by 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16:
