Residents explored the new shared home of three Hamilton County agencies during an open house Tuesday evening at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds in Noblesville.

The Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District, Hamilton County Household Hazardous Waste and Hamilton County Weights & Measures hosted the Aug. 25 event at 1721 Pleasant St.

Visitors followed activity stations highlighting conservation, recycling and environmental stewardship. Attractions included the district’s new community mural, the hands-on Soil Trailer and a touch-a-truck display featuring a tractor, forklift and Weights & Measures equipment.

Staff also shared information about services available to residents, including the safe disposal of paint, chemicals, batteries and other household hazardous waste. Snow cones and snacks were served during the family-friendly event.
