Fishers motorists face several construction-related closures and lane restrictions, although one major intersection has reopened, according to the city’s latest weekly construction update.
The intersection of 96th Street and Cyntheanne Road is now open in all directions. Crews may remain nearby to complete final work.
The 136th Street widening project has entered its second phase, closing the road to through traffic between Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road. Drivers should use those two roads as the posted detour.
The project will convert the rural two-lane section of 136th Street into a boulevard with raised medians, new pavement, storm-sewer improvements and multi-use paths on both sides.
At 116th Street and Allisonville Road, traffic remains limited to one lane in each direction. The west leg of Fishers Crossing Boulevard at Allisonville is closed, preventing drivers from entering or leaving the shopping center through that connection. Alternate entrances remain available, and businesses are open. Sidewalks within the construction area are also closed.
Other work affecting traffic includes:
- Lane restrictions on USA Parkway north of 106th Street through October.
- Periodic restrictions during utility relocation at 131st Street and Brooks School Road, where a roundabout is planned.
- Construction at the Southeastern Parkway and Olio Road roundabout.
- Weekday lane restrictions on Cumberland Road between 106th and 116th streets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Resurfacing preparations on 96th Street from Carroll Road to Olio Road.
AT&T and Brightspeed fiber installation is also planned or underway in several Fishers neighborhoods. Residents may see utility flags, door hangers and crews working in easements behind sidewalks.
Construction schedules are weather-dependent. Drivers should follow posted signs, reduce speeds and allow additional travel time.

The 136th Street Widening Project has transitioned into Phase 2 This next phase will focus on improvements between Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road. 136th Street is closed to through traffic within the project limits. Drivers should follow the signed detour route using Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road to reconnect with 136th Street.
Motorists should expect changing traffic patterns and additional travel time in the area and follow posted detour signage. Please drive cautiously and stay alert near work zones. View detour map here.
Road Improvements at 116th St & Allisonville Rd Fishers Crossing Access Closure The west leg of Fishers Crossing Blvd at Allisonville Road is currently closed. During the closure, motorists will not be able to enter or exit the Fishers Crossing Shopping Center area at this connection to Allisonville Road. Drivers should use an alternate entrance and follow posted signage. Additionally, sidewalks within the project area are closed. This closure is necessary to support ongoing construction for the 116th Street and Allisonville Road Improvement Project. Crews are currently reconstructing the west side of Allisonville Road at Fishers Crossing Drive as part of this work. | Cumberland Road Utility Work – Duke Project
Lane restrictions continue between 106th Street and 116th Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ATT Utility Work ATT will be installing fiber throughout the following neighborhods: Beaver Ridge, Pine Bluff Overlook, Bradford Ridge, Walnut Creek, Delaware Pointe, Summerfield, Delaware Crossing. Work will be begin in the next week and will be conducted in utility easements behind the sidewalk. Att has been working in the in the Limesprings Neighborhood. Drivers may still see crews in the area completing occasional final punch-list items, so please continue to use caution when traveling through the intersection. Thank you for your patience throughout construction! 131st and Brooks School Road Roundabout A new roundabout will be constructed at the intersection of 131st Street and Brooks School Road. Drivers can expect periodic lane restrictions in the current utility relocation phase.
USA Parkway Widening Project (North of 106th Street) Motorists should expect lane restrictions on USA Parkway north of 106th Street as construction begins on the USA Parkway Widening Project. Lane restrictions are expected to remain in place through October, weather permitting. Work will include roadway widening, new curb improvements, trail construction, and pavement resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained throughout construction, and access to businesses and driveways will remain open. Motorists should expect periodic traffic shifts, reduced speeds, and occasional delays while crews work. The project is anticipated to reach substantial completion in mid-October, with final restoration and punch list work continuing into November. Please slow down, watch for construction crews, and allow extra travel time when traveling through the area. As always, schedules are weather dependent and subject to change. Resurfacing Project Crews are making significant progress on the City’s 2026 resurfacing program, with work substantially complete in several neighborhoods and along major roadways. Resurfacing Package 26-1 Resurfacing is substantially complete in Sunblest, Summerlin Trails, Rosewood, Weaver Woods, Weaver Woods North, and Fawnsbrook. Work on Westmoreland Drive is also nearing completion. Residents may still see crews returning to these areas to complete final items. Next up, crews are preparing to begin work on 96th Street from Carroll Road to Olio Road. The roadway work is anticipated to take approximately four days, weather permitting, with striping and pavement markers to follow. Resurfacing Package 26-2 Roadway work is substantially complete on 131st Street, Howe Road, and Promise Road, with final pavement markers still to be installed. Some additional final punch list items also remain at Promise Road and 126th Street. Crews are also preparing for upcoming resurfacing work in the Springs of Cambridge neighborhood. Additional information, including anticipated start dates, will be shared as the schedule is finalized. Drivers may continue to see crews completing final work in resurfaced areas. Southeastern Parkway & Olio Road Roundabout Improvements
Construction is underway on the Southeastern Parkway and Olio Road roundabout to improve safety and traffic flow at one of the region’s busiest intersections. Currently, the roundabout remains open with no lane restrictions through early August. Olio Road is reduced to one lane southbound. Beginning in early August, drivers should expect lane restrictions, including Olio Road reduced to one lane in each direction and closure of the “5th leg” of the roundabout.
