Southbound I-69 shift expected Sept. 21; Fishers drivers face weekend closures

Fishers drivers should prepare for overnight lane restrictions and weekend ramp closures as crews move southbound I-69 into its final configuration as part of the Indiana Department of Transportation’s Clear Path 465 project.

The traffic shift is expected on or after Monday, Sept. 21, according to INDOT’s construction update. It will restore access from the 82nd Street ramp to westbound I-465 and southbound Binford Boulevard.

The corridor connects Fishers with destinations throughout Indianapolis, including routes toward downtown. INDOT expects delays on southbound I-69 in Fishers and northeast Indianapolis during the weekend and urges drivers to plan ahead and consider alternate routes.

Once the shift is complete, the ramp from southbound I-69 to southbound Binford Boulevard will remain temporarily reduced to one lane until mid-October while crews install permanent barrier wall.
