It’s that time of year when we have very cold conditions followed by warmer temperatures. It is good to have the warmer weather back, but the freeze/thaw cycle creates potholes. Be aware of city crews filling potholes throughout the city in the coming days and weeks. Give them space to do their jobs.
Here is the full road construction report, as provided by the City of Fishers, for the work week starting Monday, February 16:

146TH STREET & ALLISONVILLE ROAD – HAMILTON COUNTY PROJECT
The new roundabout and bridge are open to traffic. Minor lane restrictions may be needed periodically. Please drive through this area with caution as construction crews may still be on site finishing up final items through the spring of 2026. For additional project information, visit the 146th Street & Allisonville Rd. Project Page.
Due to the unexpected drop in temperatures earlier than anticipated this winter, the westbound lane of 136th Street between Cyntheanne Road and Prairie Baptist Road will remain closed until late spring of 2026. Access to the single homes and the fire station will be maintained for eastbound traffic; however, the road will remain closed to through traffic. Access to Abbott Commons and Silverton will be off of Prairie Baptist Road and access to Hunters Run will be off of Cyntheanne Road or Southeastern Parkway. As weather and temperatures improve, the contractor will be working on what they can accomplish both safely and per specifications. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. See a map of this closure here.
Construction has begun on the widening and reconstruction of 136th Street from Southeastern Parkway to Prairie Baptist Road and is currently in the utility relocation phase. Drivers can expect intermittent lane restrictions during this phase of construction. This project will reconstruct 136th Street from Southeastern Parkway to Prairie Baptist Road from a two-lane rural section to a boulevard section with a raised median and new multi-use paths on both sides of the roadway. New pavement, curb and gutter, and an enclosed storm-sewer system will be installed. For more details visit our Capital Projects Dashboard here.
Fishers Landing Drive will be closed on or after January 12 for the first phase of road construction as a part of the Crew Car Wash project. This closure will be in place on Fishers Landing Drive, between CVS and Jiffy Lube. On the week of February 16, access to Fishers Landing Drive from Allisonville (by Jiffy Lube) will be closed for the second phase of construction During this phase access will be restored on Fishers Landing Drive, between CVS and Jiffy Lube.
Drivers can expect lane restrictions on 116th Street between I-69 and Cumberland Road from 9am to 3pm the week of February 16. This will allow the contractor to complete traffic signal equipment installation. |

Due to the unexpected drop in temperatures earlier than anticipated this winter, paving operations have been paused in Plantana. Homeowners will be notified via door hangers prior to any curb reconstruction near their home. After ADA ramp and curb reconstruction is completed, those areas will be restored with topsoil and seed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to water the seed for the seed to germinate. Following concrete operations, contractors will begin performing asphalt road resurfacing and additional notices will be provided. Residents will also be notified via street signage for street parking restrictions. For additional project information, view the Capital Project Dashboard here. View the Road Resurface Overview Map here.
