Fishers drivers face new roundabout restrictions, continuing road closures and weekend interstate disruptions as construction moves forward heading into the week of Sept. 21, according to the city’s weekly construction report.
Beginning on or after Monday, Sept. 21, the fifth leg of the Southeastern Parkway and Olio Road roundabout will permanently close. Olio Road will narrow to one lane in each direction between the roundabout and a point just south of 136th Street.
During this phase, 136th Street west of Olio Road will close for approximately three weeks, with traffic detoured using 134th Street. Access from I-69 to IU Health Fishers will remain open via the bypass lane, and emergency access will be maintained.
A separate widening project continues to close 136th Street to through traffic between Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road. Drivers should follow the signed detour along those two roads.
At 116th Street and Allisonville Road, traffic remains reduced to one lane in each direction, with designated turn lanes. That pattern is expected to continue through early October, weather permitting. The west connection of Fishers Crossing Boulevard to Allisonville Road is closed, requiring shopping center customers to use another entrance. Businesses remain open.
Other work includes lane restrictions through October on USA Parkway north of 106th Street and possible periodic restrictions at 131st Street and Brooks School Road during utility relocation.
Resurfacing work on 96th Street between Carroll and Olio roads begins the week of Sept. 21. Milling is scheduled for Sept. 25, followed by base repairs and paving the week of Sept. 28. Drivers should anticipate rolling closures. The intersection of 96th Street and Cyntheanne Road is fully open.
On I-69, Clear Path 465 work will bring lane and ramp restrictions Sept. 18–21. The southbound ramps to Binford Boulevard and 82nd Street are scheduled to close from 9 p.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.
Southbound I-69 is expected to open in its final configuration on or after Sept. 21, restoring access from the 82nd Street ramp to westbound I-465 and southbound Binford Boulevard. The ramp to southbound Binford will then remain narrowed to one lane until mid-October.

| 136th Street Widening – Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road
The 136th Street Widening Project has transitioned into Phase 2 This next phase will focus on improvements between Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road.
136th Street is closed to through traffic within the project limits. Drivers should follow the signed detour route using Southeastern Parkway and Prairie Baptist Road to reconnect with 136th Street. This major improvement project will transform 136th Street from a rural two-lane roadway into a modern boulevard featuring:
Motorists should expect changing traffic patterns and additional travel time in the area and follow posted detour signage. Please drive cautiously and stay alert near work zones.

Road Improvements at 116th St & Allisonville Rd Fishers Crossing Access Closure
The west leg of Fishers Crossing Blvd at Allisonville Road is currently closed.
During the closure, motorists will not be able to enter or exit the Fishers Crossing Shopping Center area at this connection to Allisonville Road. Drivers should use an alternate entrance and follow posted signage.
Additionally, sidewalks within the project area are closed.
This closure is necessary to support ongoing construction for the 116th Street and Allisonville Road Improvement Project. Crews are currently reconstructing the west side of Allisonville Road at Fishers Crossing Drive as part of this work.
Current Construction Activity While construction activity may not always be visible from every part of the project area, the contractor continues to work throughout the project limits in several locations at once. Current work includes: Replacing driveway approaches Painting streetlights Installing temporary traffic signals Reconstructing the roadway on the west side of Allisonville Road at Fishers Crossing Drive
Drivers may see crews and equipment shifting between different areas of the project as this work progresses. As of Thursday, July 16, crews implemented the next major traffic shift as construction continues at the 116th Street and Allisonville Road intersection. What to Expect The outside lanes at the intersection will be closed. Traffic will be shifted to the inside through lanes and designated turn lanes. All businesses will remain open and accessible throughout construction. This traffic pattern is expected to remain in place through early October, weather permitting.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down, use caution, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time when traveling through the area. Stay Connected

| Cumberland Road Utility Work – Duke Project
Lane restrictions continue between 106th Street and 116th Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
ATT Utility Work
ATT will be installing fiber throughout the following neighborhods: Beaver Ridge, Pine Bluff Overlook, Bradford Ridge, Walnut Creek, Delaware Pointe, Summerfield, Delaware Crossing. Work will be begin in the next week and will be conducted in utility easements behind the sidewalk. Att has been working in the in the Limesprings Neighborhood.
Upcoming Brightspeed Fiber Installation
Brightspeed is expected to begin fiber installation work next week in the following neighborhoods:
Residents may notice door hangers being distributed and utility locate flags appearing in advance of construction. These are part of the preparation process before work begins.

| 96th Street and Cyntheanne
The intersection is fully operational and open to traffic in all directions. One temperatures cool, drivers will observe crews conducting landscaping operations. Please drive carefully through the area as landscapers complete their work.

131st and Brooks School Road Roundabout
A new roundabout will be constructed at the intersection of 131st Street and Brooks School Road. Drivers can expect periodic lane restrictions in the current utility relocation phase.
USA Parkway Widening Project (North of 106th Street)
Motorists should expect lane restrictions on USA Parkway north of 106th Street as construction begins on the USA Parkway Widening Project. Lane restrictions are expected to remain in place through October, weather permitting.
Work will include roadway widening, new curb improvements, trail construction, and pavement resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained throughout construction, and access to businesses and driveways will remain open. Motorists should expect periodic traffic shifts, reduced speeds, and occasional delays while crews work. The project is anticipated to reach substantial completion in mid-October, with final restoration and punch list work continuing into November.

Resurfacing Project Road Resurfacing Update
Crews are making significant progress on the City’s 2026 resurfacing program, with work substantially complete in several neighborhoods and along major roadways.
Resurfacing Package 26-1
Resurfacing is substantially complete in Sunblest, Summerlin Trails, Rosewood, Weaver Woods, Weaver Woods North, Fawnsbrook, and on Westmoreland.
Residents may still see crews returning to these areas to complete final items.
On the week of September 21, crews will begin work on 96th Street from Carroll Road to Olio Road. Milling is scheduled to begin on Friday September 25 followed by base repair then paving the week of the 28th with striping and pavement markings to follow. Drivers can anticipate a rolling closure as operations are completed.
Resurfacing Package 26-2
Roadway work is substantially complete on 131st Street, Howe Road, and Promise Road, with final pavement markers still to be installed. Some additional final punch list items also remain at Promise Road and 126th Street.
Crews will begin milling in the Springs of Cambridge neighborhood by the week of September 21.
Drivers may continue to see crews completing final work in resurfaced areas. Please slow down, watch for workers and equipment, and follow posted traffic restrictions.

Southeastern Parkway & Olio Road Roundabout Improvements
Construction is underway on the Southeastern Parkway and Olio Road roundabout to improve safety and traffic flow at one of the region’s busiest intersections. Beginning on or after Monday, Sept. 21, the fifth leg of the roundabout will permanently close to traffic as work progresses on the new roundabout configuration. Olio Road will be reduced to one southbound lane exiting the roundabout and one northbound lane entering the roundabout. This lane reduction will extend from the roundabout to just south of 136th Street. As part of this phase of work, 136th Street west of Olio Road will also close for approximately three weeks. This closure will allow crews to complete tie-in work for the new two-way section of 136th Street and the bypass lane from Southeastern Parkway. During the closure, traffic will be detoured using 134th Street. This detour map provides the designated route and can be shared with clients, patients and staff who may be traveling to the area. Access from I-69 to IU Health Fishers will remain open via the bypass lane, and emergency access will be maintained throughout the closure. | CLEARPATH IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Southbound I-69 traffic is expected to open to its final configuration on or after Monday, Sept. 21, marking another major milestone for the Clear Path 465 Project. This shift will restore access to westbound I-465 and southbound Binford Boulevard from the 82nd Street ramp. Once the traffic shift is complete, the ramp from southbound I-69 to southbound Binford Boulevard will be temporarily reduced to one lane until mid-October for permanent barrier wall installation. Overnight ramp and lane restrictions are scheduled this week and weekend to move traffic to the new roadway. Delays are expected over the weekend on southbound I-69 in Fishers and northeast Indianapolis. Drivers should plan ahead and seek alternate routes when possible. Overnight Restrictions This Week Overnight weekday restrictions are 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night. Weekend Restrictions Drivers can expect the following closures this weekend: Friday, Sept. 18 (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.)
